A4 commissions the perennial star of international electronic scene, Fennesz, who made himself visible in the 1990s as a pioneer of digital “laptop music” and one of the most remarkable figures around the visionary Viennese label Mego. In this premiere project, he will perform in an unusual formation with the Prešov-based guitar experimenter and composer David Kollár, and joined by the “visual engineer” and programmer Zden from Bratislava, who is also known as the author of the Circulation software for realtime image manipulation. The commission provides transnational working opportunities for the artists, and contributes to the building of a strong and long-term commissioning and co-producing infrastructure for artists.
