From 16 May to 19 October 2025, PAV presents Seeds of Time, a solo exhibition by Alan Sonfist. Curated by Marco Scotini, the exhibition documents the works of the artist from the 1960s and 1970s where, through photographs, videos and archive materials, the precursory aspects of an ecological thought that considers the dimension of time as the raw material of nature are highlighted.

Workshop

As part of the exhibition, on 15 May the AEF/PAV (Activity Education Training) will host a special event with Alan Sonfist and the participants in the artist’s call to action who contributed to the creation of Growth Between the Cracks (2025). The event, open to the public, includes a guided tour of Seeds of Time with the artist, followed by a group discussion about the themes of the exhibition—offering a chance to exchange ideas and reflections from diverse perspectives.

How To Participate in the Call for Action 

1.Collect soil: carefully collect a small amount of soil (about 4 handfuls) from cracks in the sidewalks of the streets of Turin. Avoid disturbing plants or roots if you see them growing.
2.Label your sample: put the soil in a bag or a small bag. Clearly label it with the exact streets where the soil was collected.
3.Take a photo: using your phone, take a photo of the exact spot where you collected the soil.
4.Send your photo: to document the action send the photo to: a.sonfist.studio@gmail.com with the subject: “Collecting soil – [Place]”.
5.Deliver the soil sample: by April 30, bring or send your labeled soil sample to PAV, Via Giordano Bruno, 31 – 10134, Turin, communicating your delivery method to the number 0113182235.
