Adam Harvey

Adam Harvey (US/DE) is a researcher whose work explores themes like privacy, surveillance and biometrics. Harvey has been looking at the social impact of networked data analysis technologies for years and focuses on digital imaging technologies such as those used in surveillance cameras with face recognition. Harvey is a graduate of the Interactive Telecommunications program at New York University (2010). Previous projects included developing a proof-of-concept camouflage against face detection (CV Dazzle, 2010), thermally-reflective clothing to evade military drones (Stealth Wear, 2013), and a low-cost geolocation spoofing device (SkyLift, 2015). He was awarded a Prototype Fund grant to develop computer vision software for human rights organizations.
