Berit Gilma (AT) is a critical artist, researcher, curator, author, and activist. Her works are located in the nexus of art, politics and technology. She has a background in Graphic Design and New Media, and holds a BA in Visual Communication from the University of the Arts in Berlin. She is the curator for the art department of Elevate Festival in Graz, Austria and guest curator for the Dark Mofo Festival in Hobart, Tasmania. She also worked for Nome gallery Berlin and studio Ai Weiwei. Gilma published in the online magazine “Furtherfield” and collaborated with artists like Adam Harvey and Jacob Appelbaum. Her Bachelor thesis will be published as a book in 2019.
