Heleen Blanken is a visual artist who lives in Amsterdam. Through cinematography, scenography and installation art, her practice explores the layered aesthetic perception of the natural world in considering the separation between humanity and the natural environment. She defies traditional artistic dichotomies like the organic vs. artificial, or analogue vs. digital. Her work has been shown internationally in places like Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Gropius Bau, Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, STRP Festival, La Gaîté Lyrique, and Gray Area Festival.
