Jeremy Carne (UK) is a visual artist and filmmaker. Through his video and installation pieces, he frequently uses non-linear structures to explore altered states of consciousness and parallel realities, particularly notions of dystopia/utopia. Carne is interested in the nature of perception and the capacity of mediated experiences as potential for personal and collective transcendence. He has a background in ‘Film, Video & Interactive Arts’, and has worked as a conceptual filmmaker for the Theatre and Art sector. He later focussed on the connection of sound and image as visual artist under the name ‘Carnivore’. Since 2014 he is Creative Director of ‘Ouroboros Studio’ along with Nikolas Kasinos, specialising in video works.
