Uncover, speak up, push forward, all this needs courage.

According to Reporters without Borders more than 260 journalists were imprisoned in 2017, and more than 70 people were killed while working as a journalist. Press freedom is under pressure. The Declaration of Human Rights states: ‘Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.’ This is also to protect the watch dogs of our democracy.

What does this right mean for journalists who need to take great risks to spread information, and for those who prefer to be hidden? What does it take to engage in fearless journalism? And when does journalism become activism while staying true to the facts?
