Sonic Vibrations #4: Global Identities of Sound is the 4th edition of a series of hybrid events at Spektrum Berlin presenting scientific and technological research applied to sound-art, new musical instruments and installation art.

This edition consists of a presentation by Cedrik Fermont/C-drík aka Kirdec, an author, composer, musician and mastering engineer operating in the field of noise, electronic and experimental music, and two performances by him and cellist Hui-Chun Lin 林惠君. Through a presentation of sound practices from non-western regions a dialogue about the contemporary aesthetics of sound emerges, activating the audience to respond to critical, social and political challenges of migration and technological advances.
