Karl Klomp
Karl Klomp (NL) is a media artist and video designer. He studied Interactive Media and Environments at the Frank Mohr Institute in Groningen, The Netherlands. He is interested in reflections of analogue and digital technologies in light, sound, and video. Failure, glitch or miscommunications in these technologies make his media designs human and unpredictable. His work includes video circuit-bending, frame grabbing, and hardware hacking and interfacing. He is responsible for video design for Progress Bar nights in the Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam and he makes video hardware for other artists, such as Portishead and Motorpsycho.
