King Doudou

King Doudou
As a rap and reggae music enthusiast, French DJ & producer Hugo Douster has always been looking for the mutations those styles gave birth to, mixing them with traditional rhythms rooted all around the world. In his King Doudou project, he seeks the common tie between South American Cumbia, Ivorian Coupé Décalé, Southern Rap, Brazilian Funk and shares his vision of a globalized, yet conscious of its origin, music.

Helena is in love with both the melancholic dark and sexy romantic parts that make reggaeton and dembow just as complex as other electronic music genres. Anything matching the vibe between obscure danceable records and sweet rolling serenades grab her attention and all of that plus what’s in between is what you can expect.

the State of Gqom
Hailing from Zimbabwe, Babusi Nyoni moved to Capetown, South Africa, where he fell straight into the underground Gqom scene. Babusi selects the best Gqom sounds for you in his Spotify playlist ‘the State of Gqom’ every other week. This night we will get the premiere of this selector, who programs robots that can produce Gqom music in his free time. Say what?!

Juan Beukeboom (live set)
This West-Frisian Amsterdammer coincidentally stumbled upon a Baile Funk CD when he was a kid and got hooked on the rhythms, energy and vibe of Brazilian sounds straight away.
As Juan Beukeboom, he gives his own unique twist to these beats blending in early-1990 house, gabber influences from his own Dutch roots as well as hiphop elements that have excited him over the years. He has released his A-Live mixtape recently, strictly consisting of his own productions.
