UNTITLED (2019)

In this performance, Ji Youn Kang uses two bamboos and a small Korean gong to her advantage, linking them together by analog machines. Kang uses the electric voltage flowing between her body, a generator, the bamboo sticks and a synthesizer, until they become strongly linked to each other. The gong produces a rhythmic flow and takes up the bamboo gesture, widening its rhythmic worlds towards outside, until the space becomes part of the body in resonance, singing and breathing with the stubborn voices of the instruments.
