Bolka
Matúš Kobolka, also known as Bolka (SK), is an electroacoustic improviser, composer, and an artist whose work is connected to glitch culture. His musical practice has moved beyond free improvisation of electronic music, experimenting with comedy, “genre-bending” and repurposing popular music techniques. He uses a custom-made software written in SuperCollider in combination with naïve hardware solutions. In 2012, he released his debut glitchy, “digital maximalist” split album with Jonáš Gruska under LOM label. He is recently involved with theatre sound design and the laptop band HRB/BOL with his partner DJ BOL. He is also a graduate of the Institute of Sonology in The Hague.
