Marina Gržinić

Marina Gržinić (SI) is a philosopher and artist. She has published numerous articles, essays, and books on contemporary philosophy and post-modernist aesthetics. Her works are directed towards a theory of ideology, technology, biopolitics/necropolitics, video technology, and transfeminism in connection with decoloniality. She has also been active in video art since 1982. In collaboration with art historian Aina Šmid (SI) she has produced more than 30 video art projects, a short film, numerous video and media installations, performative exhibitions, websites and an interactive CD-ROM. Marina Gržinić is currently a researcher at ZRC-SAZU (Scientific and Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Science and Arts) in Ljubljana, and Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She also works as a freelance media theorist, art critic and curator.
