British violoncellist and composer Lucy Railton managed to become a distinctive name of contemporary music since her debut was released in 2018. Besides classical music interpretation she collaborates with the biggest names of experimental electronics such as Beatrice Dillon, Russell Haswell ori Peter Zinovieff – who we had introduced to a few years ago at the festival NEXT. Now she was invited to A4 to present her new solo project: composition for multi-channel spatial sound and violoncello called Form. The composition came to life during her artistic residence in the Parisian GRM Studios. It is a powerful and captivating sound story about the evolution of forms, their disappearance and fading, in which the sound of violoncello organically connects with the sound samples and recordings of organ and synthesizers.
