Borealis commissions Irish artist Amber Ablett, tackling the idea, misconceptions, and stigma of Black fatherhood in a cross-cultural European context.

Created from audio conversations with fellow mixed-heritage Europeans, in “My Fathers Left” Ablett explores the how fatherhood, and prejudice around black fatherhood is experienced, by those who are fathers, with fathers that are present, and fathers that are absent.
