Amsterdam-based DJ Serene​’s goal is to create sets where elements of her heritage, current environment and imagination come together. By mixing percussive tracks with (avant-garde) electronic and innovative club music, DJ Serene explores the connection between her past and present. In 2017, together with her partner in crime LYZZA, she founded X3 (read: triple X), a queer party collective focussing on safe®-spaces and unique experiences in Amsterdam’s nightlife. Through nights like these, DJ Serene found true freedom and learned she feels most at home in the underground music scene – a vibrant community that’s spread out across the globe.
