Jennifer Walshe (IE) is a composer and a vocalist, specialised in extended techniques. She graduated with a doctoral degree in Composition from Northwestern University, Chicago in 2002. Since 2007, Walshe has been developing Grúpat, a project and collective in which she assumes twelve different alter egos. She has created a ‘communal thought experiment’ called Aisteach, which is a fictional history of avant-garde music. She has also created Everything Is Important, a work for voice, string quartet, and a film, which was commissioned by the Arditti Quartet.
