The FieldARTS “DOCKET” gathers 30 collectively authored concepts and phrases drawn from a week of creative fieldwork in the ecologies of Ijmuiden, Netherlands, where the North Sea mixes with the brackish water of the Ij River. Studying the unique ecosystem of this logistical space, twenty-two researchers and artists consider the impact of the shipping industry on the sediments, soils, and marine communities home to this fragile ecosystem.
