Alsa Ojala’s collection of meditative and unconventional percussive tracks serve as background music and interludes for Objecthood #9 on Radio Web MACBA, featuring interviews with Kyveli Mavrokordopoulou and Nishat Awan. Fragmented euphoric trance build-ups and strangely familiar hypnotic atmospheres, reminiscent of popular dance music, yet utterly introspective and deliberately awkward.

Alsa Ojala (FI) is a Helsinki-based artist working with sound and text. She has performed in nightclubs, churches, libraries, cinemas, bars, art galleries and in front of a sauna. Her work often combines speech, storytelling, recycled online music libraries, and EDM aesthetics with an acute sense of humour.
