The seminar Cambio de Fuerza, held on the 1st November 2024 by Adrián Balseca and curated by AEF/PAV, is a guided tour to the exhibition Cambio de Fuerza held by Balseca. By starting with the specific nature of Ecuador’s ecosystems, Adrián Balseca’s exhibition, Cambio de fuerza, raises questions of global relevance, revealing the environmental and cultural responsibilities of Western, neo-liberal economies through the deconstruction of colonial narratives and the condemnation of the dynamics of power and exploitation. The aim of the seminar is to create a dialogue in between two generations putting on the common ground topics related to: extractive activities, relation in between art and political ecology, artist methodologies, making exhibitions, exhibition production.
