Merche Blasco (ES) is a multimedia artist and composer based in New York and Berlin. Her practice involves designing and building imprecise technological assemblages – devices – that catalyse embodied forms of live electroacoustic composition and new modes of listening. Her body and the live exploration of organic materials are central to her practice and the way she engineers performance spaces. Blasco’s work currently focuses on designing participatory sound performances in public to connect strangers and their surroundings through collective music-making and listening.
