Workshop

In this interdisciplinary workshop, bridging visual arts, design, and natural sciences, participants observe their surrounding environment—both urban and natural—through stylistic elements drawn from the works of Piero Gilardi, founder of the PAV.

Specifically, models and silhouettes are used that derive from the kaleidoscopic tappeti natura (nature carpets) Gilardi has been creating with polyurethane foam since 1965. Notably, in a publication produced in 2017 for an exhibition, the artist compiled numerous drawings of plant elements taken from his renowned carpets: grapes, apples and other fruits, pumpkins, aubergines, and various vegetables. These materials are the starting point of the workshop.
