Yazan Khalili

Yazan Khalili is a researcher, visual artist, and cultural producer from Palestine, currently based in the Netherlands, where he is pursuing a PhD at the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis, University of Amsterdam. His work explores the political and emotional dimensions of image-making within conditions of occupation and displacement, often using photography, architecture, and digital media to question how visual and spatial narratives are constructed.

Khalili’s work has been shown internationally, including at documenta 15, as part of the New Photography 2018 exhibition at MoMA, the Hawaii Triennial, and the EVA International Biennial. Alongside his artistic practice, he is deeply engaged in collective cultural work. In 2019 he co-founded The Question of Funding, a collective examining the ethics and infrastructures of cultural production in Palestine, and in 2020 he co-founded Radio alHara, a transnational online platform for community exchange and artistic solidarity.
