Fedde ten Berge (NL) is a sound artist, builder of interactive sound installations, performer and composer of electronic music. He is the artistic coordinator at STEIM in Amsterdam where he manages his workshop for electronics, wood and metal processing, and organises exhibitions. He designed a 15.3 loudspeaker surround sound system called The Pentacle, and co-commissioned (together with Sonic Acts and A4) several artists to create sound pieces for it.
He also makes interactive compositions for music theatre projects and develops educational programmes for primary schools with the Utrecht-based organisation Kunst Centraal. He visits around forty primary schools each year with his interactive sound installations, and also tutors conservatory students in the field of instrument design, electronics, sensor strategies, data mapping and programming.
