Roc Jiménez de Cisneros
Roc Jiménez de Cisneros (ES) is an artist who explores the aesthetics of algorithmic composition and the deconstruction of rave culture. Since 1996, alongside Stephen Sharp, he is a member of the computer music group EVOL, which makes mentasmic computer music and deformed techno objects. Their work together is about time manipulation, space and some of the standards of the techno culture. Together with his collaborators, de Cisneros has been creating music inspired by fractal geometry, quantum theory, and rave culture. Roc Jiménez de Cisneros’ work inside and outside of EVOL is based on the notions of deformation, psychedelia, and synthesis.
