The audiovisual performance Shifted In Dreams – Redreamed takes up the composition of the same name by the French composer Kassel Jaeger – François J. Bonnet – and combines it with the images of French cinematographer Eléonore Huisse. The collaboration between Kassel Jaeger and Eléonore Huisse resulted in an expanded audio-visual version. The performance recombines the original sound materials from Shifted In Dreams and metamorphoses them into a new form, like a recurring dream, returning night after night, but in a divergent way each time. While the film is constructed in response to the recomposed soundtrack, Jaeger’s live performance is established as a somnambulant walk through the filmmaker’s images, wandering on the fringes of contemplation and sleep.
