INA grm’s Akousma concert series consists of five evenings over the course of season 2023-2024. Akousma is dedicated to acousmatic music at the crossroads of generations and sensibilities. Stretching ears beyond aesthetic boundaries, these concerts invite the audience to explore sound material in unprecedented forms with the Acousmonium – a veritable orchestra of loudspeakers allowing the sounds to travel across the space.

At Akousma #1 on 4 November, INA grm presents three new compositions commissioned part of Re-Imagine Europe: New Perspectives for Action:

Alexandre Babel –The Drift Between, a composition for drums and fixed media
Judith Hamann – Desire Paths, a composition for cello and tape,
Christina Vantzou – The Reintegration of the Ear for tape, voice, bass flute and electronics, performed by Irène Kurka, John Also Bennett and herself.
