Benedikt Alphart is a composer and sound artist from Graz. At the core of his work are recordings of sounds that lie beyond our everyday auditory experience. These sounds originate from remote regions, emerge through rare phenomena, are hidden underwater or within solid materials, or exist outside the range of human hearing. He is particularly interested in how instabilities and subtle micro-processes in sound can become perceptible.

Following a residency at GRM in Paris in the summer of 2025, Benedikt will present his new work at Elevate 2026
Co-commissioned by ELEVATE and INA grm in the framework of Re-Imagine Europe: New Perspectives for Action.
