I Cercatori d’Oro del Parco Sangone (The Gold Diggers of Sangone Park)

The workshop is an exploration of the landscape, inspired by the new environmental installation created by British artist Mike Nelson and set in the Sangone stream in Turin. Participants include adults supported by Mental Health Services, people with disabilities, and young people from the Engim vocational school. The discovery of the landscape is accompanied by stories drawn from literary and folk traditions: tales of animals, saints and bandits, and fantastical narratives where chance and fortune lead to surprises and revelations. Among the references is Roadside Picnic, the mysterious 1972 novel by the Strugatsky brothers, cited by Nelson as one of the inspirations behind his public environmental artwork in the stream.
