The workshop So that the Shipwreck Does Not Occur, held on 04-05 May 2023 by Marcelo Expòsito and curated by AEF/PAV, is inspired by the herbaria made by Rosa Luxemburg.

While incarcerated, Rosa Luxemburg created at the same time of her essays of political considerations, militant agitprop writings, and personal correspondences, showing the intimate connection between several seemingly different processes of elaboration, we can clearly catch Rosa Luxemburg’s interest in the relationship between social revolution, subjective states of mind and the environment as a space of human coexistence.

During the workshop participants are invited to identify books through which we can interpret contemporary crises, and to reflect on them by using diagrammatic writing as a tool for imaging hopes for the present.
