Bernardo Gaeiras
Bernardo Gaeiras is an artist, designer, and researcher whose work focuses on ecology, sound, and speculative design. For nearly a decade, he has operated at the intersections of public policy design and decentralised culture in Lisbon.
His practice spans multiple spatial and temporal scales, exploring how sound and technology mediate relationships between human and more-than-human worlds. Currently pursuing a PhD in Digital Media at the Interactive Technologies Institute, his research investigates bioacoustic sensing and situated design as tools for ecological reflection.
Gaeiras has performed at venues including the Amsterdam club Trouw and the Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian (CAM), and has exhibited at MAC/CCB, Xuzhou Museum, MUDAM Luxembourg, and the Stedelijk Museum, among others.
