Donna Marcus Duke is an award-winning writer, performer, and curator based in London. They are a Visiting Scholar in Life Writing at the University of Oxford and work as a Curatorial Research Assistant at Del Vaz Projects in Los Angeles. Their writing and criticism on queer and trans art, culture, and politics has been featured in magazines like Frieze, Numero Art, I-D, Vogue Italia and Dazed, as well as other independent and academic publications. Duke founded the performance collective Haute Mess, which showcases and promotes work by queer and trans nightlife organisers. They also founded TISSUE in 2022 with fellow writer Sam Moore, a trans* literary initiative that seeks to facilitate, publish, and showcase writing by trans people.
