Eleni Ikoniadou

Eleni Ikoniadou is a scholar and practitioner whose work calls attention to sound and voice as agents of resistance and fugitivity. Until 2024, she was Reader in Digital Culture and Sonic Arts at the Royal College of Art in London, where she led Fugitive Voices—a seminar series and radio broadcast on Stegi Radio.

She recently joined Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as Assistant Professor in Sound Studies and Sound Art.
Ikoniadou is founder and co-editor of the Media Philosophy series (Rowman & Littlefield), co-editor of Unsound: Undead (Urbanomic, 2019), author of The Rhythmic Event: Art, Media and the Sonic (The MIT Press, 2014), as well as several journal articles, talks and art projects which can be found at https://www.eleniikon.com/.
