Hrvoje Pelicarić
Hrvoje Pelicarić (HR) is a sound designer, musician, and multimedia artist rooted in the independent, alternative, and experimental scene. Namely, he is a founding member of the then-progressive, now cult band Zidar Betonsky. He also made a significant contribution to the work of the contemporary theatre and activist group Fraktal Falus Teatar. Pelicarić’s spatial sound works explore the various relationships between sound, space, and the body. He is interested in the nature of the human perceptual apparatus and all its specificities and illogicalities.
Using his engineering knowledge, Pelicarić also engages as a music author in exploring the physical characteristics of sound. Through their artistic shaping, he strives to establish an intimate sonic environment, sometimes in contrast or in harmony with the outside world. Theatre is present throughout his work, traceable by his choice of materials and the use of (deconstructed) text templates as a starting point.
