Katalin Ladik

Katalin Ladik

Katalin Ladik (HU) is a poet who finds poetry’s traditional medium too static. She replaces paper with her body: sensual, individual, and political. She thus uses poetry to transfer the poetic language to other creative fields such as visual poetry, performance, body art, mail art and sound experimentation. Since 1973, Ladik has produced extensively in radio, theatre and performance, as well as in music and sound poetry. In 2007, she published the novel ‘Can I Live On Your Face?’ and her work is featured in collections across the world.
