Kristina Andersen
An associate professor in Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology, Kristina Andersen spent fifteen years as an instrument designer and archive researcher at STEIM (Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music) in Amsterdam.
Her aim is to facilitate engagement and ignite collaborations between people, systems, things, and machines. Through applied material practices, she produces instruments, texts, sounds, and experiences. At the core of her work lies a challenge: How can we dream of difference in times of complex and catastrophic upheaval? Can embodied engagements through making assist us in actively constructing visions of the unknown?
