Lena Schilling is a climate activist and author.
At the age of 17 she became politically active as part of the “Fridays For Future” movement in Austria. She is spokeswoman for the initiative for a supply chain law and founded the youth council in 2020, an independent youth organization that aims to continue the protest on the streets in an organized form. In 2021 she registered the Lobau protest camp, which resulted in the longest eco-occupation in Austria to date.
In 2022 she published the book “Radikale Wende” to describe the protest and the protest movements and to formulate their historical relevance.
