The New Pulsar Generator (nuPG) Recordings Volume 2 is a composition by Marcin Pietruszewski created for a multichannel sound system. It is based on the principle of pulsar synthesis, and the music is generated with The New Pulsar Generator (nuPg), an interactive program for sound synthesis written by Pietruszewski. The composition encompasses a broad scale of sound from singular impulses, sequences, continuous tones, time-varying phrases, to rhythmic textures and temporally alternating phrases. Pietruszewski’s creative approach offers a unique vision of how contemporary computer music could sound like.

Commissioned by A4 in the framework of Re-Imagine Europe: New Perspectives for Action project, co-funded by the European Union, and through public funding by the Slovak Arts Council and Bratislava City Foundation (2023).
