Join Sonic Acts in celebrating the opening of Sonic Acts Biennial 2026! Sonic Acts returns to Amsterdam with a full two-month programme of exhibitions, concerts, artist talks, spatial sound, performances, workshops, gatherings and much more. The weekend starts on Thursday 5 February, from 19:30, with the opening of the spatial sound exhibition Listening Room at Zone2Source in Amstelpark, featuring a conversation with artists Sam Dunscombe and pantea, followed by the world premiere of their new multichannel sound works.
In the days after, the multi-venue exhibition Melted for Love, which explores the ‘sounds of home’ and shares its title with the Biennial theme, opens across W139 (Friday 6 February, 19:00), Arti et Amicitiae(Saturday 7 February, 19:00) and Rozenstraat (Sunday 8 February, 16:00). The programme includes a performance by Music Research Strategies (Marshall Trammell) at W139, and a live performance by Christian Nyampeta at Rozenstraat.
