For the Elevate Festival in 2020, Finnish artist Jimi Tenor created a sound installation for the ride on the Schlossberg lift in Graz. Using a special interpretation of the genre of ‘elevator music’ it transformed the ride in the lift into a sound journey. The sound installation Music for Elevators has become a tradition at Elevate, with also Brian Eno and Caterina Barbieri having made compositions for this project. In 2024 the Viennese musician and long-time companion of the festival Dorian Concept created the fourth installation.
