Workshop

Improvisation Practices was a workshop on improvisation practices and collaborative composition.

The workshop Improvisation Practices was developed by the Norwegian musician Anja Lauvdal for young music students of conservatories who generally have little knowledge of improvisation and collaborative composition. In her presentation, Lauvdal showed the possibilities and importance of improvisation in music. Various exercises, also in collective composition, improved the improvisational skills of the participants, and deepened their knowledge of music. The workshop contributed to the capacity-building of local talents, provided them with new perspectives, and raised awareness of new artistic approaches.

Anja Lauvdal (NO) is a jazz musician, keyboardist, and composer. In addition to her experimental solo work, she plays in indie pop groups and avant-jazz ensembles.
