Every month, A4 dedicates a space for an informal gathering of a community of artists creatively working with sound, experimental music and new media art. An ideal opportunity to share ideas, exchange experiences, get to know people and build a community around original approaches to making. During the meetup, invited guests will show their concert setups or reveal behind-the-scenes of their creative methods, and open discussion about current or work-in-progress projects is also welcome.

Presenters: Manka Lustigová, Samo Hvozdík

Manka Lustigová is currently in residence at A4, where she is working on a project on the border between ceramics and sound art with resonating porcelain plates. In her artistic practice, she is dedicated to the acoustics of ceramic material, practice-based material research and the theme of connection. The artifacts in her hands explore the border between the living and the inanimate. She enjoys building sound installations, musical instruments and the DIY approach (do-it-yourself).

Samo Hvozdík is one of the prominent figures of the young generation of Slovak composers, and his music has repeatedly penetrated beyond the boundaries of student festivals. In addition to composition in the traditional sense, he is also involved in electronic and film music, as well as improvisation.
