Workshop

BEK presents an one-day workshop for artists and filmmakers, led by the acclaimed film director Eduardo Williams. The workshop delves into the world of 360 videography, and the creative use of cameras in different contexts.

Eduardo Williams will share his experiences working with 360 cameras in his films The human surge 3 (2023, 121 min) and Parsi (2018, 23 min), which will also be shown in the workshop. Focusing on the creative aspects rather than the technical ones, participants will get to explore limitations and possibilities connected to using different cameras, and go through how the differences influence not only the final image but the process during the shooting. Williams will also share his thoughts and experience with framing films with the use of the VR-headset. This process changes the moment in which we frame a film from the shooting to post production and the physical and mental relation to observation.
Participants must have basic knowledge of cameras and video editing.

Time: Thursday 28 November, 11:00–16:00.
Place: BEK, C. Sundts gate 55, 9th floor
Sign-up: Sign up via the form in event, by 26 November. Limited spots available.
On 27 November at 19:00, The human surge 3 is screened at Kvarteret, Olav Kyrres gate 49, in collaboration with Bergen Filmklubb. Williams will do a talk after the screening. Workshop participants get a free ticket to the screening.
