Hugo Morales Murguia is a composer, reaearcher and sound artist working the boundaries between traditional instruments, instrumental found objects, performance technique and technology, the development of alternative forms of sound generation for music composition is essential in my work. He’s interested in approaching traditional instruments as cultural artifacts and inventing instrumental implementations of rudimentary objects; where the role of the musician is taken as a flexible multi-instrumentalist, and overall, a musical performer.
