Tianzhuo Chen

Tianzhuo Chen is a contemporary Chinese artist born in 1985 in Beijing, known for his hybrid installations, performances, and video works that blend pop culture, religious traditions, and subcultures like rave and drag, all through a queer, anti-elitist lens. After studying in London at Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Arts, he returned to Beijing to develop his unique artistic practice, often described as the “Bad Boy” of Chinese contemporary art. He is also the co-founder of Asian Dope Boys, a platform for design, music, dance, and fashion.
