Kontrapunkt is an organization founded in 2001 in Skopje, Macedonia with a main focus on critical theory, political philosophy, critical activism and the relationship between art and politics. 

From the very beginning, Kontrapunkt has been dedicated to the idea of spreading culture and cultural production. In an environment of hermetic ideas about what culture should be, Kontrapunkt tries to develop change by promoting new tools and activities that will stimulate and motivate artists, independent groups and individuals, who try to express themselves in the field of culture. Over time, the idea of support has developed into an idea of stimulating self-organization as an urgent need for further development of the independent cultural scene and the cultural environment in general.
