Kontrapunkt presents: (In)Dividuum in times of dissemblages. Art and Revolution. A symposium exploring three books by esteemed philosopher Gerald Raunig: “Art and Revolution”, “Dividuum” and “Dissemblage”
This symposium invites scholars, artists, activists, curators, cultural workers, and anyone in between these fields, to explore the work of Raunig, and contextualise his latest thoughts on local terrains.
Gerald Raunig is a philosopher, art theorist and author of seminal books such as Art and Revolution, A Thousand Machines, and Factories of Knowledge, Industries of Creativity, all published by Semiotext[e), one of most influential independent presses. Currently, he works at the Zürich University of the Arts, and the EIPCP (European Institute for Progressive Cultural Policies) in Vienna. He is co-editor of the multilingual publishing platform Transversal Texts, and the Austrian journal Kamion.
