FUJI|||||||||||TA – Interview with A4

Japanese sound artist and composer FUJI|||||||||||TA creates evocative sonic worlds shaped by air, movement, and natural phenomena. His signature instrument, a hand-built portable pipe organ from 2009, set the base for the artworks defined by elegant minimalism and immersive, breath-driven soundscapes.

Following the acclaimed 2020 release iki at Hallow Ground label, his practice gained broader international attention, leading to performances across Europe and North America, including Rewire Festival, Big Ears Festival, MODE, and Tectonics Glasgow. He has also collaborated with leading avant-garde artists such as ∈Y∋ (Boredoms), Keiji Haino, and Rashad Becker.

The video is produced by A4 as part of New Perspectives for Action, a project by Re-Imagine Europe, co-funded by the European Union and supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council and Bratislava City Foundation.
