Glupsk & Jakub Šulík – Interview with A4
Icelandic trio Glupsk brings together Vilhjálmur Yngvi Hjálmasson (bass guitar), Örlygur Steinar Arnalds (guitar, drums) and Guðmundur Arnalds (guitar). Their practice is driven by free exploration, moving fluidly between concepts, genres and sounds depending on what sparks their interest in the moment.
In this interview, Glupsk reflects on a sound world that shifts from obscure electronic live sets to experimental rock, drawing on doom metal, no wave and noise. Known for frequent collaborations, the trio performs here with Jakub Šulík on drums, continuing a line of improvisation that began with their first collaboration in 2021.
The video is produced by A4 as part of New Perspectives for Action, a project by Re-Imagine Europe, co-funded by the European Union and supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council and Bratislava City Foundation.
