BEK presents:
A durational performance exploring procedural and collective systems with Mark Fell and Rian Treanor.

This performance is organised in collaboration between BEK and Ekko, and it looks back at “Performance and Procedure” – the workshop for artists, conveyed by Fell and Treanor at BEK in Bergen on 2 June 2024.

The performance takes place in Bergen, Norway, in the facilities of DUI (den uferdige institusjonen/the unfinished institution). DUI is a studio community, production- and exhibition space for artists in Laksevåg. Inspired by Oscar & Sofie Hansen’s open form theory, DUI is founded on an approach to art and artistic practice as a fundamentally open process in continuous transformation. Art-as-process is simultaneously collective and individual and emphasizes participation and dynamic relationships between artist, viewer, recipient, and user.
